A YouTube prankster cameraman who went around terrifying people with bomb hoaxes and fake robberies has been sentenced to jail for nine months.

Danh Van Le, 31, teamed up with a teenage boy for doing stunts around London. The pair showed strangers a clock inside a briefcase then dumped the bag and ran away. Van Le also filmed fake heists at the Tate and the National Portrait Gallery.

He admitted to one count of bomb hoax placing with intent, involving eight incidents, and was sentenced to 24 weeks in jail.

I wouldn't really call that a prank. I understand YouTubers (esp pranksters) need to bring it to the next level to keep ahead of everyone else - but in this day and age something like that will get you in a heap of trouble.

I agree, that was stepping over the line. I remember when Roman and Vitaly did the ATM robbery prank and was arrested (and had to go to court). That wasn't a smart idea either - but lesson learned.

If you haven't see the ATM robbery prank video yet, you can see it here.
